Today is my birthday. 54 years ago I discovered America. As I look back over my life, I am astonished by what God has done. As a child, I thought I was a nobody and always would be. I felt powerless, small and terrified of almost everything. By the time I was a teen-ager, I felt used up, trapped, worthless and hopeless. But God found me and in a moment my life changed. I am living proof that God can make something beautiful out of nothing.
